...so I went over to France again to visit my friend, Jan, in Normandy, before she moved house to Brittany...
...and here she is, in the garden of the house she hopes she has sold and which she hopes she has stopped from falling down with the strategic placement of a small wooden prop...
...and so far, so good. Her pretty little house is still standing the last time I looked...
...so off we went north to the coast at Le Tréport...
...where Arty got dragged along...
...to see the sights...
...the rugged coastline...
...the lighthouse...
...the beach huts...
...and then, after Moules à la crème for our lunch, Arty was able to rest on this cool cafe floor. And, as it was les 36e journées européennes du patrimoine...
...Jan and I helped out at the weekend at this château in the nearby village of Beaucamps-le-Jeune, which is owned and being gradually restored by Jan's friend, Olga. That's me in the turquoise shirt sitting in the shade with Arty to the left of the red parasol in this photo taken with a very long selfie stick.
Thank you for sparing the time to look at this, my first blog, which has been originally published from my new website, (please have a look around while you're here). I hope there will be many more of them and there should be at least a couple more from this trip as soon as I can get my act together again. As ever, your comments and feedback are not obligatory but all appreciation or criticism is welcome.
Watch this space.
Love,
Philip
A brilliant website, although I can't see any prices! but perhaps that's not how artists display their work. :-)
The blog is interesting as always Philip. Thanks for giving us all this treat.
