Yes, O.K., the yucca in the foreground hails from the west, but the oriental influence in this palace (Brighton’s Royal Pavilion) could well grace any Christmas production of Aladdin, both inside and out. Not exactly noted for its winter sports, Brighton is under snow only once in a while, but for a short time, if you are lucky (or unlucky in August), it does succumb to the white blanket and is magically transformed into unusual subjects for seasonal greetings. Oh, yes, it does!
